Piers

When planning facilities for piers, consideration must be given to how these structures are aligned and located within the designated area.  Factors such as the ease of entering and leaving berths, required quayage, harbor line restrictions, foundation conditions, and isolation requirements all play a role in determining where to locate the pier.

With expanding piers to meet min load capacity and width to allow emergency response teams the access the structure all piers must comply with local and federal codes, the three major structural types are open, solid, and floating with either Timber Steel or concrete.  Piers are normally installed in deep water to allow large boats to dock making the install tricky, with our fleet of mechanical barges we are able to work in deep water and harsh conditions, our sectional barge fleet make it easier to access piers on lakes for pump stations or install water lines.
