Founded by Kim Shaughnessy, a marine construction professional who has worked in the field since her early twenties, the company was established with a clear purpose: to deliver honest, high-quality marine construction work backed by deep technical knowledge and strong client relationships.

With a background spanning more than three decades in marine construction, Kim leads the company with a practical, detail-driven approach rooted in firsthand knowledge of the industry. That experience shapes how ACK Marine bids work, manages projects, and delivers results—focusing on accuracy, transparency, and adherence to plans and specifications rather than shortcuts or inflated change orders.
ACK Marine’s strength lies in its people and is a family-owned business with Kim’s son, Mike, serving as Vice President and Operations Manager. The company is supported by a seasoned team of superintendents, operators, divers, engineers, and union craftsmen, many of whom have been with the company since its early days. This continuity creates a level of trust, accountability, and consistency that clients value and return to project after project.
